our company, which is one of the main Italian quarry owner and (http://maplered.com) Stone (http://g603.net) producer, will be at your disposal to provide you with supply, pricing or even simple information about the required pure black Stone (http://g603.net) .
As you are talking about a pure black Stone (http://g603.net) which is needed for sculpting purposes, we would suggest you to go either for a Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) or a Granite (http://tanbrown.org) .
Black Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) s are definitely more attractive in term of price and (http://maplered.com) finishing, as their grade of polishing gets an optimum level of mirror polishing, which will probably very much suit a sculpture. Unluckily, in the range of black Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) s does not really exist any absolutely pure "black": the closest we can get to a pure black Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) is with a couple of Material (http://g654.org) s (-a- Black Marquina, Spanish origin or -b- Fantastic Black, African origin) which, no matter how pure they are, more or less always carry at least a light white veining.
Black Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s, due to their quartz consistency, might even be a bit harder for a sculptur to work on; they generally are more expensive than Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) s, but not even too much. This aside, I have to tell You that as for black Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s, differently than Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) s, we have the possibility to get closely to a "pure" black: there is a Stone (http://g603.net) from South Africa, named "ABSOLUTE BLACK", which is a black Granite (http://tanbrown.org) which, if in first quality, shows a closely perfect black consistancy.
The above said, please remember that when dealing with natural Stone (http://g603.net) s having a total respondance to what "perfection" is meant to be, is nearly impossible. Nature "perfection" concept is probably slightly dissimilar than our humans' is.
If you should decide for any of the above Stone (http://g603.net) s, or even to help you decide, if you need I'll be glad to send you pictures via e-mail of the finished Stone (http://g603.net) s to see how the finished product will look like.
Both Stone (http://g603.net) s, either Marble (http://www.lightemprador.com) or Granite (http://tanbrown.org) , are available in squared ROUGH BLOCKS (dimensions normally approx. 210/220 mt. Length, 170/180 mt. Heigth, 170/180 mt. depth) at any major Stone (http://g603.net) supplier -as my company is, too-. If you should need particular blocks in any bigger or smaller size You'll definitely be able to get them upon specific enquiry again to any of the major Stone (http://g603.net) company which will pass Your enquiry on to the quarry owner.
Hope I have ben helpful, and (http://maplered.com) always at your disposal whatever you may need.
